The Before — £45/Month for Nothing
Brett Farley runs B&L Motorcycles Ltd out of Fareham, Hampshire. Specialist repairs, carburetor rebuilds, ultrasonic cleaning, brake restoration, full recommissioning — genuine technical depth built over years. Over 32,000 genuine parts in stock across two trade supplier relationships.
None of that showed up online.
The website was a GoDaddy template with a phone number on it. £45 a month. Over four years, that's £2,160 — for something that generated zero business. eBay sales were entirely manual: every listing hand-written, every dispatch email typed individually, every supplier order chased by phone. Workshop stock was tracked in someone's head. Invoices were hand-written or Word documents with inconsistent numbering.
The brief wasn't "build a website." It was: build the digital infrastructure a real business this size should have.
